Logical position1/2/2024 ![]() Starting in the late 1920s, groups of philosophers, scientists, and mathematicians formed the Berlin Circle and the Vienna Circle, which, in these two cities, would propound the ideas of logical positivism.įlourishing in several European centres through the 1930s, the movement sought to prevent confusion rooted in unclear language and unverifiable claims by converting philosophy into "scientific philosophy", which, according to the logical positivists, ought to share the bases and structures of empirical sciences' best examples, such as Albert Einstein's general theory of relativity. This theory of knowledge asserted that only statements verifiable through direct observation or logical proof are meaningful in terms of conveying truth value, information or factual content. It's out of your control too as I had deals out there waiting to be closed but business owners drag their feet when it comes time to sign and pay (this - more.Logical positivism, later called logical empiricism, and both of which together are also known as neopositivism, was a movement in Western philosophy whose central thesis was the verification principle (also known as the verifiability criterion of meaning). I was only one sale away from making it to presidents club and it was very very frustrating to not hit it after a whole quarter of hard work. If you hit presidents club you'll be getting a good paycheck, if not you'll essentially be living off minimum wage and occasionally a couple of hundred extra when a deal closes. If you're great at sales I'm sure you'll love this job, but if not you'll likely not be making a lot of money. You don't get much notice if you're gonna get fired either, you'll be put on PIP (almost everyone goes on pip, few get off pip most just are on it for many months like me) and then you'll be worried at the end of every pay cycle that you're gonna get the end-of-day call letting you know you're fired. It's likely you'll burn out at this role within a few months after watching every coworker friend you made get fired. ![]() Management tries their best to be encouraging and helpful, but it eventually just sounds like a broken record. I found this position to be very very stressful, deals closing in a timely matter is usually out of your control and there's always pressure to be closing them and fining more to meet quota so you don't get fired. They bring in new hires so often and very few can last more than a couple of months. I worked 8 months at lp on the sales team, this position has a HIGH turnover rate out of all the coworkers that were there when I started only 4 were still working at lp when I got fired. I truly love my job here at LP and see myself being here for MANY years to come! The support here is crazy and I feel more heard and appreciated here than I ever have been at any in office job. There are many opportunities for growth if you put in the work, and it's so worth it! I'm currently hunting down a promotion, I literally feel like I'm a cat chasing a toy but, I know my manager will guide me to get it because he wants me to have it! Just waiting on the right time and the go ahead from the big guy. They really care about your success, not just within the company but, outside of work as well. This job is tough, especially if you don't know anything about digital marketing but, LP gives you all the support and educational opportunities to help you grow. ![]() Straight from the getgo I expressed my hesitations to my GM during my interview and he was nothing but encouraging/reassuring about the support and growth opportunities as long as I was willing to put in the work. I never saw myself enjoying working from home because I love people interaction and with having 2 kids at home (covid times) it seemed impossible.
